Types of Embroidered Polo Shirt

There are many different types of personalised polo shirts available. And within each of these sub-categories, there are various additional or customised versions. We’re not here to get into all of that detail. Instead, we thought we’d bring you some clarity as to what “standard” different Polo Shirts look like. Short Sleeve Polo Shirts

The most common type, the short sleeve Polo is made from varying materials and is available in every colour imaginable. They typically feature finished hems, a shorter torso length and a soft unstructured collar.

Lightweight Polos

Made from Pima Cotton, lightweight Polos are preferred for summer occasions that require a more formal dress code. They’re the most “t-shirt like” style of Polo.

Pique Polos

“Pique” often called “peek” refers to the type of fabric these Polos are made from. Pique is a kind of cotton, and Polos made from Pique are lightweight with a built-in stretch.

Golf Polos

Typically made from a performance fabric, Golf Polos feature short sleeves for mobility and come with plenty of stretch. Moisture-wicking and temperature control are some other features typical of these garments.

Long Sleeve Polo Shirts

Essentially the same as a short sleeve Polo with the only real difference being the sleeve length. Long-sleeve Polos are great for winter as they’re the perfect middle ground between sweaters and button-up shirts.

Fabric – 100% polyester, 100% cotton, a blended fabric? Do you have a preference?
Sizing – which size or sizes do you require?
Style – button down, long sleeve, featuring a pocket? Do you have a preference?
Performance Features – does the garment need moisture-wicking, fade, spot or wrinkle resistance?
Trim Detailing – subtle trim colours, colour-blocking, princess seams, side vents. Do you need any of these?
Budget – is there a limit or price range you need to spend within?

What material are the custom polo shirts made from?

Polo Shirts are commonly made from either 100% cotton or 100% polyester materials. It’s also fairly common to find Polo Shirts made from a poly-cotton blend.

What sizes are the personalised polo shirts available in?
